Tesira Amplifiers - PoE (Plenum Mount)

Tesira AMP-450P

Amplifier configurations for the Tesira AMP-450P are available from the Object Toolbar via the I/O Block > Amplifiers menu item.

Initialization Dialog

The initialization dialog allows the user to configure the amplifier channel count/power level.

DSP Block Representation

The AMP-450P amplifier is represented on the layout as a single output block. The output block has a configurable number of output channels with 1, 2 or 4 channels being supported.

More information on logic is located here: AMP-450P

Control Dialog

The amplifier dialog is configured to show channel and device indicators and controls for each enabled audio channel. AMP-450P and Amp-450BP have slight differences as shown below.

AMP-450BP

Channel Indicators and Controls

Name Description Range
Dev. IO Indicates which amplified output(s) are controlled by this channel of the block. All channels are non-bridged, so only a single output number is displayed. 1-4
Clip
  • Off (grey) - No clipping of the audio signal
  • Red - Clipped audio

Protect
  • Off (grey)
  • Yellow - Actively limiting the audio signal
  • Red - Audio output shutdown due to low power

Muted

Indicates the current state of the amplifier channel:

  • Off - Channel unmuted
  • Yellow - Channel unmuted; chassis mute active
  • Red - Channel mute active

Mute Turns the channel output signal on/off.
Level Adjusts the relative output volume. -100 to 0 dB
Invert Adjusts the polarity of the output signal. 0° or 180°
Speaker Count (AMP-450BP) Indicates the number of speakers to be connected 1 or 2
Load Impedance (AMP-450P) Load impedance being driven by the speaker output. 4 or 8 Ohms

Device Indicators and Controls

Name Description
Burst Indicates a burst condition is present.
  • Off (grey)
  • Green - Light
  • Yellow - Medium
  • Red - Heavy/Warning
Fault Indicates when a frame fault is active.
  • Off (Gray) - No active fault
  • Red - Active fault*
Warning Indicates when a frame warning is active.
  • Off (Gray) - No active warning
  • Yellow - Active warning
Temperature Indicates a frame level thermal fault.
  • Off (grey) - No fault
  • Yellow - Thermal warning
  • Red - Thermal fault*
Mute All Mutes all channel on the Chassis.

*Note that if both the Fault and Temperature indicators are red, the amplifier will shut down until power cycle. This could be an indication of a major error in the installation.
